The Holy Trinity Sunday
A God you can explain fully is not a true God you should worship. Today is one of the days that many Catholic Priests are very careful in their preaching because Holy Trinity is the most sublime of Churches teaching. The Holy Trinity is a mystery and cannot be fully understood. St. Augustine, on attempt to understand this mystery had a vision of going to a stream and saw a little boy who wants to empty a whole river with a small cup. This, probably might led him to conclude that “Theology is faith seeking understanding.” Human words cannot explain the mystery of the Blessed Trinity but there’s something we can learn from mystery. God existing in Trinity shows a relationship and this relationship is represented in Love and Unity. We are made in Trinitarian person in triangular form. The Matrimony has once again led to a bloodshed! This is not a night before Exodus, Yet our children’s blood were used to paint the doorpost of the Lord’s house; I pray the Angels don’t pass over us, so our prayers of justice be taken to heaven. We once watched how the cross showed us the blood from the savior’s side; But the crucifix now stands over the blood of its worshippers. If religion is still practiced above humanity; Then I see Nigeria becoming Golgotha, a place of skulls, soon. Some are worshipping, some are shipping war in; Some left to fight for their lives, some dedicated their lives for an inhumane fight; I don’t believe in revenge but I think retaliation nowadays is too underrated; I wonder if all sides called it a game, who shall wear the crown of the most brutal killings?
